One of the greatest dog stories ever written, "Lassie Come Home", is about a child's Collie that was sold and escapes three times to return to her home. This is a new edition of the 1940 novel which has been written and illustrated especially for young readers. The art by Susan Jeffers is outstanding as she used watercolor, ink and pencil to create the unforgettable images of a Collie trying to get home again. The model for Lassie in the book is Debhill Bontaw Dreams Legacy CDX. The 48-page, hardback is in new condition. The dust jacket does have a rip about 1.5" long at the bottom. The dust jacket could be removed as the front cover has the same picture. The Collie art is outstanding; the Collie story transcends time. A book for the young and the young at heart! $14.95

Edward Frost wants a dog of his own. And he doesn't want to be bullied by big, mean Martin Hastings anymore. Neither wish seems very unlikely to come true, until one day wandering Uncle Josh arrives with a beautiful collie named Argess. Suddenly everything begins to change. The 184-page hardback was written by M.S. Stolz. This copy is actually the Weekly Reader Children's Book Club Edition published in 1961. It is in good condition with no marks or rips, but lots of yellowing. The former owner's name is neatly written on the inside flyleaf: "Larry Lloyd 1966". And it is complete with dust jacket, in good condition, with some show of wear. $24.95

Parsifal is a Poddley. Poddleys are little green creatures about a foot high. They appear only to children who are lonely and sad, and Parsifal was on his way to the hospital bed of Colin MacNeill, who had just lost his collie dog, Lad. Together, they have a wonderful adventure with a very happy ending. This copy is the Weekly Reader Children's Book Club Edition published in 1962. It is in excellent condition with no marks or rips. A great addition to any canine lover's library or as a gift to a special child. $24.95
